USA – 6 week tour 20 mars 2019


Next week I am heading to the USA for a 6 week ’tour’ as I will be standing on stage, on camera and shooting a pilot for my global interview series. This year is about leveraging my career on a global scale and it starts with NYC – LA – Washington – Silicon Valley (Singularity University).

My first event on stage is for the Women in IT summit, where I am the host of the summit and will also be hosting two panel sessions on Cyber security and Mentorship/Leadership. Really looking forward to this!

After NYC I head to LA where I will be attending the Human Gathering, really looking forward to this experience. I’ll be in LA for 3,5 weeks for business, shooting the pilot, experiencing latest trends in hotels, spas and healthy lifestyle.

After this I head to Washington, where I will be attending the Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards Gala, (I am on the Leadership Council of Vital Voices Europe).

And beginning of May I am off to Singularity University, Silicon Valley for a one week Executive Leadership course.

Check out ’Hello World’ – Best Tech Innovations 7 augusti 2017

Ever heard about or watched the Bloomberg series: Hello World? (broadcast on Bloomberg)

I just stumbled across it on my Apple TV yesterday. Interesting, short, digestable episodes on best and innovative tech creations around the world. Great concept! (at least for me and my curious mind).

Hello World invites the viewer along on a journey, together with the show’s host Ashlee Vance, who travel the globe to find the inventors, scientists and technologists who are shaping our future.

Each episode explores a different country and uncovers the ways in which the local culture and surroundings have influenced their approach to technology. Host Ashlee himself, says he’s on a quest to find the freshest, weirdest tech creations and the beautiful freaks behind them.

I have been fascinated by Space since the age of 5. At this age I dreamt of becoming an astronaut, after having read the book ’The Little Prince’. If you haven’t read this book, then do! I reread it on the plane to Luxembourg a few weeks ago, as I was co-hosting the live broadcast of Asteroid Day, and I both laughed and cried when I read the book on the plane. It is such a sweet, charming anecdote and tale about seeing the world out of a child’s curious, spontaneous and inquisitive eyes.

The reason I mention this is that one of the episodes of Hello World is on Alma – the largest astronomical project in the world.

 

Atacama desert in Chile is said to be the driest place in the world and turns out to be the perfect place to build a telescope. However this is not the home of just any telescope, it’s the home of Alma, the largest astronomical project in the world.

Due to the high altitude and lack of moisture in the air the view of the stars here is practically unobstructed, to the delight of astronomers.

Alma can see in the cosmos what the human eye or telescopes can’t see. Alma can see the mm range of the electromagnetic spectrum, far beyond the visible range seen by any optical telescopes or the human eye.

With this superhuman vision, Alma can discover all kinds of magical stuff in the universe that would have been invisible before.  It can see the cosmos in more detail than ever before, detect how stars and planets are formed, detect molecules, learn where our stars and planets are from, what’s inside the moon, the chemistry of life etc..

Astronomers are using Alma to look for the origin of stars, life and the universe itself.

And will soon be able to answer the question… if were alone out in the universe or not….

Yay! It’s Yoga Retreat Time On Ibiza 7 augusti 2017

Hello lovelies,
hope you’ve all been enjoying beautiful summer holidays. I just came back from 2,5 weeks on my favourite island: Ibiza. It’s my haven, my paradise and where I recharge my energy, retrive my balance and harmony and reconnect with my zen.
Free spirit, goddess, femininity, sensual, connected body and mind, chilled and happy – that’s me and Ibiza.
As I mentioned in my previous post, for me Ibiza is a magical, energetic, serene and beautiful place where I feel at home. Where I blossom into my free spirit and goddess nature. Yay!

Ibiza has a very special energy, that either invites you or challenges you. For me I felt this energy, – a magnetic, powerful and spiritual energy – that resonated with me the moment I placed my feet on the island.
I feel at home when I am on Ibiza and every time I leave, it’s always with an intention to be back soon again.

For me Ibiza is beauty, health, nature, ocean, versatility, beauty, chill, yoga, fun and play – all in one wrapping. Ibiza has so many sides, and versatility. From the beaches, music, yoga, party, people to cuisine.
The island has been labelled with an unflattering image of just being a hard core party island but it has so much more dimensions than this. On Ibiza you can explore and find hidden gems every time, or just relocate to your favourite spots every time.

As a yoga practitioner and a keen indulger of healthy living, organic local foods, tasty cuisine, beautiful locations, the choice of serene or party beaches, hanging out with chilled n cool people, transformational massage treatments, energetic healing, vibrant music and feeling the flow – I encounter all this on Ibiza.
I love the chilled, laid back and sensual lifestyle the island offers.

And I have several wonderful friends who have relocated to Ibiza part-time to check out from the stress filled lifestyles of  London, New York, Paris ….

This time I, true to tradition, I attended a one week yoga retreat ’Rejuvenate – yoga & holistic fitness retreats’ at Ibiza Retreats, one of my favorite yoga retreats on the Island. Helt in the north part of the island and the lovely Can Amonita.
The week of  includes every day yoga, meditation, HIIT Training, hikes, spacious and lovely rooms for accomodation, afternoon chill by the pool, excursion with the boat to Formentera and a restaurant treat on the last day.

 

 

The food at the retreat = totally nutricious, organic, ayur vedic based, is ahhh sooo delicious, tasty, yummy and beautiful to the eye. And after a week your tummy and digestive system is like a child’s again – all clean/alkaline, in sync, light and re-energized and purring with content.

One of the best parts with going to the yoga retreats are the amazing people you meet from all over the world. Every time I have gone to Ibiza Retreats I met interesting, fun, genuine and lovely girls and women (it’s most female participants, eventhough men are of course welcome). This time we were 3 from the US, 2 from UK, 2 from Netherlands, 1 from Switzerland and me. Successful, interesting and curious career women, mothers, models, students and yogis who are all coming to the retreat for some time out, rebalancing, recharging energy, cultivating their yoga, upgrading their health, bonding or just sharing an experience.
After the retreat it is not unlikely that you have a new handful of friends in your life. This time around the group connected really well – we were a really great group of people. After the retreat 4 of us booked an airbnb in Ibiza town so that we could have some weekend fun and play.

After the retreat, I stayed on for 1,5 weeks with some friend’s in their beautiful villa in Cala Bassa. Awesome days hanging out with friends from different parts of the world and enjoying the island and Formentera.

Healthy Ibiza -Time to Retreat. To rest the Mind and Allow your Heart to Dream. 7 augusti 2017

I have previously written about some of the main passions in my life of healthy living and healthy lifestyle, where travel, yoga, spa, nutrition, dance, nature and a healthy mind are the building blocks of this lifestyle.

There is one alluring island where I can practice, refine, indulge and experience all the key, life thriving ingredients for a healthy, happy lifestyle; body, mind and soul: IBIZA. 

Yes, I know what you may be thinking at first glance of the word Ibiza. Isn’t this more a clubbing capital and watering hole for thirsty party animals, who party until the sun rises?

Well, every coin has two sides and so does this beautiful Spanish Island. It may be hard to believe, if you haven’t experienced this enchanting side of Ibiza, this island is also a getaway for healers, yogis, and wellness practioners,  (of every level). Even if you may not be a yoga devotée, Ibiza is attracting and blooming into a health and spiritual destination for people seeking an alternative to partying away their vacation (or combining both).
The island offers a fine balance between laid-back beaches, lively bars, restaurants with gastronomic prowess, (specially in Santa Eulalia, unofficially quoted as the culinary capital of Ibiza), delicious local foods, hippie markets, fashion boutiques and a variety of healthy cafés.

Every year I try to travel to Ibiza to experience a yoga retreat.  I thrive to continue to discouver and experience new retreats, yoga teachers, yoga trainings and hidden gems of hotels and agroturismos around the world.

Matcha Latte the best alternative to coffee 22 juni 2017

Good morning!

What does your morning breakfast routing look like? Coffee or tea person?
As I mentioned earlier, I always start my morning with warm water with fresh ginger and some squeezed lemon. That’s the first thing I drink to help cleanse and detox my body after a nights sleep.

To breakfast I either have a coffee with warm, skimmed Oatley milk or I choose to make a matcha Latte.

Every tried matcha?

It is a great and healthy alternative to coffee. And also a great addition to make if you have any stress related symptoms. If you are experiencing stress, aniexty, panic attacks etc, then I highly recommend that you eliminate coffee for a time. Coffee can really add to aniexty and stress, if your body and nervous system are stressed or burnt out. In this case it is a worthwhile alternative to add matcha latte to your life and eliminate coffee for a while.
I talk of own experience, as I got stress symptoms last year and one of things I instantly noticed had a negative impact was coffee. My heart would race and I would feel the sense of aniexty grow in my body. So I switched to matcha latte for about 6 months, and it proved to be a good choice during this time.

Matcha latte is also a rich source of antioxidants.

Easy to prepare:

Boil water. Let it cool slightly (they say matcha shouldn’t be put straight into boiling water as it can lessen the effects of the antioxidants). Poor one small teaspoon of matcha into the warm water, add some skimmed hot milk of preferred choice (I prefer Oatley I-Coffee milk or almond milk). Sprinkle some cinnemon on the top. Yummy.

Voilà! Enjoy.

Best way to start the morning 20 juni 2017

This is how I start every morning. Hot water with fresh ginger and fresh lemon. Sometime I spice it up by adding honey (nice sweetner), sometime a splash of apple cider vinegar (great for digestion and metabolism) or fresh mint (simply yummy). The most effective use of the ginger is to boil fresh ginger root in water, then cooling it, add some lemon and then drink.

Benefits of warm water with fresh ginger?

Best way to clarify the body after a night of rejuvuination and detoxifying the system.
Good for digestive discomfort
Helps decrease inflammation
Powerful source of antioxidants
Balance blood sugar
Throughout history, ginger has been widely used to relieve nausea
